CARS OF THE STARS SCOTLAND EXHIBITION AT LOMOND GALLERIES, ALEXANDRIA
Due to popular demand the Cars of the Stars exhibition of world famous cars from movies and television held at Loch Lomond Galleries in Alexandria, Dunbartonshire has been extended until September 2010. Car enthusiast Peter Nelson has already built up a unique collection of famous motor vehicles from TV and film which have been on display at the original Cars of the Stars museum in Keswick which has been open for 20 years and is known throughout the world. Now he is bringing his impressive range of stunning vehicles north of the border to Loch Lomond. Peter first began collecting vehicles which had become almost as big as the stars who drove them in films or television shows thirty years ago and his collection includes Del Boy Trotters three-wheeler van, the red and white Starsky & Hutch Ford Gran Torino, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Herbie Love Bug, the Back to the Future DeLorean and David Hasselhoffs K.I.T.T Knightrider and many more. These cars are now all on display in his new Cars of the Stars exhibition in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire at Loch Lomond Galleries Shopping Centre, a historic Grade A listed building which was formerly the Argyll Motor Works and thus an important historical landmark. The exhibition is open to the public on the lower ground floor of Loch Lomond Galleries on North Main Street, Alexandria. Admission prices are £3.50 for adults; £3 concessions; £2 for children and £10 for a family of four.
For further information, please contact the Exhibition by telephone on 01389 758145 or visit Cars of the Stars Scotland
