At the moment, the Clachan Inn is no longer offering accommodation, however Gordon and Elaine look forward to welcoming you to Scotland's oldest Pub.
Located in the heart of Drymen, in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, the Clachan Inn takes great pride in offering warm Scottish hospitality in its bar and restaurant . If you are walking the West Highland Way or the Rob Roy Way there are few places more welcoming than the Clachan Inn.
Steeped in history
Dating back to 1734, the Inn is steeped in history and is Scotland's oldest registered licensed premises. Meaning “a building of stone”, a more permanent construction of its time when many buildings were made of turf, it was the first of its kind to have its own still to distil and sell its own whisky. The first licensee of The Clachan was Mistress Gow, one of Rob Roy’s sisters and many relics of yesteryear remain to his day.
The Strang family look forward to welcoming you to the Clachan Inn and Drymen.
