Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open : 11th to 14th July 2013 : Castle Stuart Golf Club, Inverness
Castle Stuart Golf Links is the seventh Scottish course to play host to the prestigious tournament since 1972; following in the footsteps of Downfield, St Andrews, Haggs Castle, Gleneagles Hotel, Carnoustie and Loch Lomond Golf Club, which staged proceedings over the last 15 years from 1996 to 2010. Played a week before The Open Championship, the Scottish Open is always one of the most keenly contested championships. First played in 1972 at Downfield and 1973 at St Andrews, the tournament returned in 1986 after a 13 year break when it was played at Haggs Castle. Eight editions were contested at Gleneagles and two at Carnoustie before the championship spent 15 years at Loch Lomond Golf Club and in 2011 the event moves to Castle Stuart Golf Links. Only Ian Woosnam and Ernie Els have won multiple titles, with Woosnam winning twice at Gleneagles and once at Carnoustie and both of Els' victories at Loch Lomond.

The 142nd Open Championships : 18th to 21st July 2013 : Muirfield, Gullane, East Lothian
The Open Championships make a return to Muirfield, last held here in 2002 where Ernie Els won the tornament after a four hole sudden death play off.

Ricoh Women's British Open : 1st - 4th August 2013 : Old Course, St Andrews
The 2013 Ricoh Women’s British Open will be staged at the ‘Home of Golf’ – The Old Course in St. Andrews for only the second time in the tournament's history.

The Championship is one of the golfing highlights of the sporting calendar and, in its 38th year, all involved in the event are excited to be back at one of the most prestigious venues on the planet. In total, The Old Course has hosted a record 28 Open Championships.

The first time that the event was held there in 2007, Lorena Ochoa, arguably the best Mexican golfer in history and world number one at the time, triumphed by 4 strokes from Jee Young Lee and Maria Hjorth with a total winning score of 5 under par.

Since that day, a considerable amount changed on the course – the notorious greenside bunker on the 17th hole will be widened by 20 inches and the front contour of the green has been reshaped to ensure the sand gathers more approach shots. In total, up to 9 holes will include changes and, for the first time since 1949, new bunkers will be introduced on the right side of the third fairway and on the left side of the ninth fairway, 20 yards short of the green.

After a hugely successful tournament in 2012 which saw Carly Booth win her first Ladies European Tour title, the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open is returning to Archerfield this year.

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship : 26th to 29th September 2013 : St Andrews Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns
The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship has quickly become one of the premier events on The European Tour, enjoyed by both the players and spectators alike, as the greats of the game and the world of celebrity join in an entertaining union over three of Scotland’s finest links courses – Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and of course the Old Course in St Andrews.
