Join the Big Hospice Hike

Grab your boots and join the Big Hospice Hike on Saturday 17th June in aid of the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. Starting at Balmaha on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond, the 22-mile walk includes a climb up Ben Lomond, Scotland’s most southerly Munro.

The Big Hospice Hike will take you along a section of the West Highland Way to the village of Rowardennan, the starting point for the main path up Ben Lomond.  You will begin your ascent up the mountain, which boasts spectacular views of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Once you reach the summit at 974 metres, you’ll start your descent and complete your challenge by walking back to the finish line at Balmaha.


What's On at Loch Lomond this Summer

Discover what's on in and around the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park - get out and get active this summer! You will find a great mix of interesting events and activities to suit all ages and abilities. It's the season to enjoy boating and watersports. The summer is also the time for Highland games with events throughout the National Park. Find local Scottish produce at farmers' markets, join a charity event and don't miss the Great Scottish Swim.

Tickets for European Championships Go On Sale

During the summer of 2018, Europe’s top athletes will compete in a brand new multi-sport event on the global sporting calendar - the inaugural European Championships, co-hosted by Glasgow and Berlin.

The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park are hosting the free open water swimming event. Fastest time wins with male and female events in a 5k, 10k and 25k open water course. 3 athletes can also join together to compete in the 5k team event.


National Park Consultation

Enhancing Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park's natural resources for future generations is one of the key conservation priorities within the draft National Park Partnership Plan. Through public consultation they want to hear what you think.
