Coronavirus: Phase 2

June 2020 saw Phase 2 come into operation in Scotland and lockdown easing slightly. Although Covid-19 is controlled, the risk of spreading it still remains. If we all keep doing our bit, then together we will beat the coronavirus. Please keep your two-metre distance. Stay and exercise within your local area and only travel within a five-mile radius of your home. Please respect the National Park - recent reports of crowded beaches, parks and beauty spots along with excessive litter and abandoned cars all over the place will only set everything back and could create a second lockdown.

Remember FACTS

Face Mask Wearing - wear a face covering on public transport and enclosed public spaces.
Avoid crowded places.
Clean your hands and surfaces regularly and as soon as you get home.
Two metres distance remains. Stay 2 metres (6 feet) away from other people.
Self-isolate if you have symptoms and book a test.

Coronavirus in Scotland. Stay safe, protect others, save lives. Enjoy a safer Scotland!

Tourism in the National Park

Due to the current guidance on the Covid-19/coronavirus situation, all of the National Park offices and visitor facilities remain closed to the public until further notice.  The National Park are working on plans for reopening visitor sites safely and in line with the Scottish Government guidance.  We know that on the 3rd of July, Self-Catering accommodation can open, followed by the majority of tourism businesses on 15th July, depending on the science. The local communities of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park look forward to welcoming visitors back safely.

The Park is gradually opening

3rd July Update: Scotland’s First Minister has eased the lockdown by removing the 5 mile radius guideline. The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park Authority has also opened all car parks and public toilets in certain areas. Self-catering accommodation is now open. Blair Drummond Safari Park is now open! The National Park is beginning to welcome people back to visit Loch Lomond safely. We only ask that you respect the area, the communities, the wildlife and yourself. Please adhere to FACTS. Park your car responsibly and please take your litter home! The 2-metre social distancing rule still applies! If we all work together, we will get through this - no-one wants a second wave of coronavirus infections!

11th July: all going to plan, the Duncan Memorial Slipway opens, other public toilets in various areas are also due to open.

The majority of tourism businesses will open from 15th July, depending on the Covid-19 situation.

Keep your distance - stay safe - visit Loch Lomond and ENJOY!
