What's On at Loch Lomond

Following St Andrew's Night in November, no-one celebrates Hogmanay like we do in Scotland. In January, join us to celebrate the Bard, Rabbie Burns by the bonnie banks.

It’s then on to St Valentine’s Day for a romantic break in February! Throughout the winter months, enjoy live music in a lochside pub, dance the night away at a Scottish ceilidh, enjoy a Christmas panto or check out the local produce at a farmers' market.

Wedding Deal at Loch Lomond

Find your Scottish wedding dream on the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Each year, couples from around the world tie the knot at Loch Lomond. Celebrity weddings in the past have included Noel Edmonds, supermodel Kirsty Hume and former STV presenter Sarah Heaney.

The Lodge on Loch Lomond is offering new and amazing last minute offers, and special rates for remaining Friday, Saturday & Sunday dates during 2020. The wedding package price is a fabulous £50.00 per person together with the additional incentive of an inclusive evening buffet.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side this Winter

As temperatures drop and frosts arrive, Scotland’s winter wildlife can be observed.  Breath-taking views and a diverse mix of habitats including a stunning mix of woodlands and wetlands in the National Park provide an excellent opportunity to view a variety of wonderful wildlife.

Loch Lomond Nature Reserve covering over 400 hectares of diverse landscapes at the south east corner of the loch is an internationally important wintering centre for Greenland white-fronted geese and can also attract up to 3,000 wintering greylag geese.

By visiting some of our more accessible forests, there is always the chance of a glimpse of our native red squirrel and as winter snows build on the mountains, the deer move down to lower grazing and makes it good time for deer watching. Get out, get active, get closer to nature and connect with wildlife. Visit Loch Lomond this winter.

Year of Coasts and Waters

In 2020, Scotland celebrates the Year of Coasts and Waters. Explore some of Scotland's magnificent lochs and lakes in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

The jewel in the crown of Scotland's first National Park is Loch Lomond, the largest loch in Scotland and the UK's largest body of freshwater. Loch Katrine, near Callander in the Trossachs has been Glasgow's main water supply since Victorian times. Don't miss Scotland's only natural lake, the Lake of Menteith, sometimes known as Loch Inchmahome.

Plan your trip and visit Scotland in 2020 and join our 2020 Year of Coasts & Waters celebrations.
