The Masterclass at Glengoyne Distillery
This specialised tour includes a visit to the Glengoyne warehouses which are not normally open to the public and explores the key areas of whisky-making in some depth. The experience includes tastings of Glengoyne 12 and 17-year-old Highland single malt, three Glengoyne single cask whiskies and six sherry samples. Guests have the opportunity to create their own blend in the whisky sample room. A light lunch is provided. At the end of the visit, guests are presented with a 200ml bottle of their created blend, a masterclass certificate and a Glengoyne commemorative book. The Masterclass offers the most in-depth and comprehensive distillery tour in Scotland.

Balloch Country Park 5k
Starts 9.30am at Parks main gate on Balloch Road.
There is no registration, no fee and no official recording of times. Just turn up for a Run in the Park.
The route will take in some iconic views of Loch Lomond as well as the Walled Garden and of course Balloch Castle. The event caters for everyone, from the seasoned runner to beginners, and children are welcome too. Children under 11 should be accompanied throughout the run by a parent or guardian.

The Wallace Monument Stirling
From April to September the Wallace Monument by Stirling holds live performances by costumed actors – bringing Sir William Wallace and the characters of his time to life. Listen to the story of The Battle of Stirling Bridge, or even have your photograph taken with a Scottish warrior from the 14th Century! Presentations take place between 11.15am and 3.30pm each day on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays (and at weekends only from October until December, and during February and March).
Scottish Farmers' Markets at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch
1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
Perhaps the most panoramic situation of any market in Scotland. Featuring around 30 regular stallholders ranging from cheese and chocolate makers through to producers of organic eggs, beef, lamb, pork, home made soup, smoked foods, seafood, jams, confectionery and home baking. Entry to the Farmers’ Market is free. Open 10 am till 3.30 pm.
