Glasgow International Comedy Festival

Glasgow's International Comedy Festival expands on its past success with over 150 events covering stand-up, theatre, film and special shows for children. City-wide venues from local community centres to city-centre theatres will host dozens of performers from the already established to the next big thing.

Scottish Snowdrop Festival 2017
Enjoy the Scottish Snowdrop Festival and find time to head outdoors and marvel at these beautiful little plants, set against the backdrop of some of Scotland's most captivating castles, gardens and stately homes in this area.


The Wallace Monument Stirling
From April to September the Wallace Monument by Stirling holds live performances by costumed actors – bringing Sir William Wallace and the characters of his time to life. Listen to the story of The Battle of Stirling Bridge, or even have your photograph taken with a Scottish warrior from the 14th Century! Presentations take place between 11.15am and 3.30pm each day on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays (and at weekends only from October until December, and during February and March).


Scottish Farmers' Markets at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch

1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
Perhaps the most panoramic situation of any market in Scotland. Featuring around 30 regular stallholders ranging from cheese and chocolate makers through to producers of organic eggs, beef, lamb, pork, home made soup, smoked foods, seafood, jams, confectionery and home baking. Entry to the Farmers’ Market is free. Open 10 am till 3.30 pm.

If you are looking for a bargain and a good day out, why not visit a car boot sale at Loch Lomond and surrounding area. Car boot sales are a popular way of disposing of those unwanted items and a great way of bargain hunting.
