About Lodge on the Loch, Luss
The hotel was opened in March 1992 and is located in the picturesque village of Luss within the Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park. This 4-star hotel is just a 25-minute drive from Glasgow Airport.
All rooms have bath & shower, tea & coffee tray, flat screen television & movies on demand. Many of The Lodge's rooms look out across beautiful Loch Lomond and some offer a balcony or private sauna.
Our three room types provide all the comforts and facilities you would expect from a first class hotel with some unexpected extras as standard. For the ultimate in luxury we also offer a variety of suites in different styles. Graham Rooms are above the restaurant & bar with most overlooking the loch, Corbett Rooms all overlook the loch with private sauna & balcony. The Munro Rooms are situated in a separate building a short walk across the car park. They all overlook the loch with balconies and have the swimming pool & heat treatments down the corridor.
Dining at the Lodge on the Loch
Colquhoun's award-winning restaurant has a menu including locally caught fish and meat, with a terrace over the water. The hotel bar is less formal and serves light meals. Awarded 2 AA rosettes for our food quality.
Guests can relax at Amberspa, with facilities including a Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and swimming pool. Argyll Forest Park is a 10-minute drive away and has fishing, cycling and wildlife walks. A short drive away are many golf clubs including Loch Lomond, The Carrick & Helensburgh. Helensburgh is the closest large town with trains east to Glasgow & Edinburgh and west to Oban, Fort William & the islands.
The Village of Luss
Luss has been known for being the prettiest village in Scotland. The present Luss Church, built in 1875, has just celebrated 1500 years of Christianity. The church was founded by the Celtic Saint, MacKessog in the year 510AD. Across the road is the Pilgrimage centre explaining the history of Christianity in our area.
