Wallace Monument Stirling

The Wallace Monument in Stirling the top visitor attraction commemorating William Wallace is within easy reach of Loch Lomond. A national landmark – a national hero Within an hour’s driving distance from Loch Lomond & the Trossachs stands Stirling’s renowned landmark, commemorating the life of Sir William Wallace, and overlooking the scene of his greatest victory at The Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297.

Blair Drummond Safari Park

Blair Drummond Safari Park is Scotland's only African safari park. Located near Stirling and close to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, Blair Drummond Safari & Adventure Park is one of the major attractions of central Scotland. Spread over 120 acres, Blair Drummond has drive-through reserves, (for those without their own transportation, there is a free safari bus available), a boat safari, with the remainder being accessible by foot.

Inverbeg Galleries

Internationally renowned Inverbeg Galleries are long established purpose built galleries on the 'bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond. Some recent developments have included upgraded gardens with picnic areas and three new gallery rooms allowing a substantial increase in displayed artwork as well as permitting expansion of our giftware selection. The newly installed ramps mean that the gallery is now fully accessible for people with prams and wheelchairs.

Glengoyne Distillery

Glengoyne Scotch whisky distillery is within easy reach from Glasgow, Loch Lomond and Edinburgh and open all year round offering the most in-depth range of visits in the industry. Glengoyne is proud to offer entertaining and in-depth distillery visits including the Master Blender Tour, where guests create their very own blended whisky. The Glengoyne, Wee Tasting and Tasting tours run on the hour and no prior booking is required for groups of 10 or less.

Trossachs Woollen Mill, Callander

Meet our resident local celebrities, Hamish the Highland Bull, his wife Heather and little Honey, that was born early in 2011. Hamish is always happy to have his photo taken and will gladly pose with you. There's great shopping with confectionery, travel rugs, Hamish mementos, clothing, toys, food, whisky and much more. We also have weaving looms dating back to 1927 and were used until recently to produce the famous Trossachs rugs. Our coffee shop serves snacks, meals and refreshments every day.

Maid of the Loch, Paddle Steamer, Balloch

The Maid of the Loch paddle steamer berthed at Balloch Pier was built in 1953, the Queen's Coronation year, by the shipyard of A&J Inglis, Glasgow and is now owned by the Loch Lomond Steamship Co., a registered charity. Entry to the Maid of the Loch is free and facilities onboard includes a restaurant, cafe and bar. Experience the splendour of the bonnie banks and Ben Lomond from right on the water. Entry to the Maid is free and is open daily from Easter to October  from 11a.m. to 4p.m. Open at the weekends during winter.

Kilmahog Woollen Mill, Callander

Discover a 250 year old mill from Scotland's textile and industrial heritage, complete with original waterwheel.  Built in 1758, originally a flax mill producing the famous Kilmahog Rug, the site is now an established tourist shop with Harris Tweed, Countrywear, lambswool, Clan Tartan Centre,  arans & cashmere, Highland dress and made-to-measure kilts, trousers and skirts. Coffee shop open daily, serves the BIG BREAKFAST, snacks, hot meals and a variety of refreshments including Costa coffee.

Lomond Shores, Balloch, Loch Lomond

Lomond Shores located in Balloch is a principal gateway to Scotland’s first National Park. It is Scotland’s most spectacular visitor destination combining the beautiful environment with an outstanding mixture of leisure and shopping experiences overlooking the majesty of Loch Lomond at Balloch. A unique shopping environment, with an array of shops, restaurants and bars including Jenners, a long established department store. Lomond Shores is a must for anyone visiting the area.

The Hill House in Helensburgh

The Hill House in Helensburgh is the largest and finest of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's domestic buildings. Within easy access of Glasgow, the Hill House  is within an hour's drive of the city centre with regular train services from Glasgow Queen Street train Station to Helensburgh. The Hill House occupies a hillside that looks out over the Clyde estuary, and is surrounded by grounds meticulously landscaped by Charles Rennie Mackintosh .It bears the image of Scottish baronial traditions. Stroll around and view the Mackintosh designed fireplaces, furnishings and fittings!
