Live Music Sessions, Ardlui Hotel, Loch Lomond

The Ardlui Hotel at Loch Lomond has teamed up with TMSA & Gaelic Arts organisation, Fèis Rois to deliver live music sessions throughout November & December. These will take part in the Lomond Bar every Saturday until 22nd December from 8pm - 11pm.

An Evening of Music

The Three Villages Community Hall in Arrochar is hosting an evening of music Mulled Wine, Arts and Crafts on Saturday 17th November doors opening at 6:30pm with the concert at 7:3pm to 10pm. Sunday 18th November
Christmas Lights Switch-On Loch Lomond Shores

The 2012 Loch Lomond Christmas lights will official switched on Sunday the 18th November. The day’s events start about 1pm-5:3pm and will kick-off with the arrival of Santa on his magical Santa express train which will make its way to his winter wonderland Grotto at the Gateway Centre. Crowds will be treated to entertainment and spectacular fireworks display. Performers include award winning international band Skerryvore who will treats crowds to blazing bagpipes and fiddles. Other performers include George Kennedy, Darrell Muldoon dancing from Dancebase Academy in Alexandria and Donna’s Dazzlers from Helensburgh. Children from CHAS will switch the lights on.

Sunday 18th November
Santas Grotto at Lomond Shores

Santa's Grotto will be open at the Gateway Center on Sunday 18th of November. Everyone is
invited to meet Santa when he arrives at 12:30pm. Opening times are 10am to 5pm Thursday to
Sunday right up to Christmas Eve. The price of tickets is £6.50 which includes a visit to
see Santa, a gift from Santa, a ride on the vintage carousel plus a ride on the Santa
Express. The Gateway Centre will donate £1 from each visit to CHAS Robin House.  There will
be free entertainment in the Gateway Centre every weekend throughout December.

Spirit of Loch Lomond Festival of Christmas Lights

Helensburgh's Spirit of Loch Lomond Festival of Christmas Lights kicks off on Friday 23rd November 2012 at the Victoria Hall. The main focus will be a fancy dress parade followed by the tree lights switch on from 5:30pm. Crowds will be treated to a four float motorised light parade down Sinclair Street, Princes Street and into the Square. In the Victoria Hall there will be entertainment which will be free and refreshments provided by Bethesda will be doing these refreshments on a voluntary donation. The 2012 Alexandria High Street festive lights will be officially switched on at 4.30pm on Saturday 24th November by Santa Claus. Entrainment will include a live radio road show, children’s rides and treats for the children and host of live music.

Weekend art course with art4you Scotland.

The 2012 Dumbarton High Street festive lights will be officially switched on Sunday the 25th November at 4:30pm. From 12pm the local radio station will be entertaining crowds with music, dancing, children’s rides and Santa.

Thursday 29th November
Loch Lomond annual Fashion Show

The annual Loch Lomond chairty fashion show in aid of CHAS and Pulmonary Hypertension UK. 
This event should not be missed with cloths from Loch Lomond Shores, Cheryl's Closet and
ASDA. Guest includes models from Robin House, Cheryl’s Closet and the newly crowned Miss
Loch Lomond Shores, it will be a glitzy and glamorous night. Tickets are £10 and the price
include a glass of sparkly on arrival, entertainment and entry into a prize draw, and all
profits will be split between the 2 charities.  Tickets are available from Misty Glen at
Loch Lomond Shores, Vale of Leven Swimming Pool, The Meadow Centre and Robin House.

Miss Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond Shores and Cheryl’s Closet are hosting a Miss Loch Lomond Shores competition.
The winner will be announced on the nigh. The winner will not be crowned untill Thursday
29th November at the annual Fashion Show. To enter you need to  ipload a pictuer to cheryl's
Closet facebook. All entries are open to females aged between 14 and 25 years. Ten will be
choosen to the finale on Friday 23rd November in the Kilted Skirlie Restaurant where a panel
of judges will put you through your modelling paces! Tickets to come to the Miss Loch Lomond
Shores event on the 23rd are £5 and can be bought at the door on the night of the event

The Wallace Monument Stirling
From April to September the Wallace Monument by Stirling holds live performances by costumed actors – bringing Sir William Wallace and the characters of his time to life. Listen to the story of The Battle of Stirling Bridge, or even have your photograph taken with a Scottish warrior from the 14th Century! Presentations take place between 11.15am and 3.30pm each day on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays (and at weekends only from October until December, and during February and March).

Scottish Farmers' Markets at Loch Lomond Shores, Balloch

1st and 3rd Sundays of each month
Perhaps the most panoramic situation of any market in Scotland. Featuring around 30 regular stallholders ranging from cheese and chocolate makers through to producers of organic eggs, beef, lamb, pork, home made soup, smoked foods, seafood, jams, confectionery and home baking. Entry to the Farmers’ Market is free. Open 10 am till 3.30 pm.
